Sarajevo hosted the Dissemination event on Digital Health, Chronic and Rare Diseases on 22 October, where the NeurNet project presented their achievements in improving healthcare in the cross-border area. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NeurNet<\/a> project addresses the issue of treating patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy and advanced stage Parkinson\u2019s disease. By establishing an ICT-based network that will enable audio-visual communication, remote diagnosis, medical data exchange and consultations, NeurNet seeks to improve health services and allow transfer of best practices among hospitals in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of project activities to raise awareness about their impact in the healthcare sector, project manager D\u017eenita Huki\u0107 showcased NeurNet at the Sarajevo event. Almost 100 participants attended the event and followed presentations about different actions of the EU Health Programme, which is European Commission\u2019s main instrument for the implementation of the European Union Health Strategy, and other EU-funded actions, including the Interreg IPA CBC Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro programme. The opportunity was used to highlight the importance of Interreg projects for various sectors in cross-border regions, including healthcare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
