With the aim of strengthening the IT sector in the cross-border area, the City of Zadar, in cooperation with the INTERA Technology Park Mostar, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre Tehnopolis (Nikšić), BIT Center Tuzla, and the University of Zadar, is organizing the hackathon “My Smart City 2025”, which will be held on December 2–3, 2025 at the Providur’s Palace, Zadar.
The hackathon is organized within the project “Cooperation for Development of Cross Border Business Environment Strengthened – CODES”, co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A IPA Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027.
What can participants expect?
- A marathon-style competition in which teams develop innovative solutions – mobile applications, websites, or concept ideas
- Access to mentors and technical support
- Free Wi-Fi, food, and beverages
- Prizes for the three best teams: 1st place – €1,000; 2nd place – €800; 3rd place – €600
The hackathon is intended for high school pupils and university students, and the topics will remain secret until the start of the event. Individuals and teams consisting of 1 to 4 members may participate.
Participants are required to bring their own devices (laptop, mobile phone, tablet) and any other equipment necessary for developing their solution. Transport and hotel accommodation are provided for teams from Tuzla, Mostar, and Nikšić.
