JemsThe EmBRACE project is financed as part of the Interreg VI-A Programme IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021-2027, with funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the IPA III Fund.
In the project, the Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds of the Republic of Croatia plays the role of the Managing Authority, while the Croatian Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises, Innovations and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO) is the beneficiary of the Small Project Fund (SPF).
The total value of the project is EUR 11,764,705.86, and the contract award ceremony was held at the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds. The Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds, Šime Erlić, handed the contract to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of HAMAG-BICRO, Vjeran Vrbanec, and to the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ante-Janko Bobetko.
In order to stimulate the growth of companies and support their tendencies towards digital transformation, the Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021-2027 Programme, established the Small Project Fund (SPF) for micro and small businesses as final recipients. This will have multiple positive effects on the Programme area since the development of micro and small businesses and better competitiveness will result in a greater number of jobs and a better socio-economic situation in the Programme area. This supports the development and adaptation of business models, products, services and processes that strengthen the resilience and adaptation of companies to climate change and the implementation of new digital technologies.
The EmBRACE project is implemented within the framework of the specific objective 1.3 of the Programme entitled “Strengthening the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises”, and the eligible beneficiaries are micro and small enterprises.
The project was approved by the Monitoring Committee on 16 February 2024, the start of implementation is 1 March, 2024 and lasts for 5 years (until 28 February, 2029).
Through the EmBRACE project, HAMAG-BICRO will award micro and small entrepreneurs a total of EUR 8,725,324.36 of Programme funds through at least 3 Calls for Proposals. The first Call is planned in April 2024.
