As part of the AllerShield project, new air quality monitoring stations have been installed in the cities of Biograd na Moru and Nin, as well as in the municipality of Starigrad-Seline. This marks the first time that such equipment has been deployed in these specific locations within Zadar County, representing an important step forward in environmental monitoring and public health protection.

The newly installed stations are equipped with modern sensors capable of continuously measuring both meteorological and air quality parameters. Specifically, they monitor:
- Basic meteorological data (temperature, humidity, pressure, etc.)
- Gaseous pollutants: carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), nitric oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), and ozone (O₃)
- Particulate matter: PM₁₀, PM₂.₅, and PM₁
The collected data will soon be made publicly available through a dedicated mobile application, enabling residents, visitors, and decision-makers to stay informed about local air quality in real time. This initiative aims to raise awareness about air pollution and support efforts toward healthier, cleaner living environments.
The AllerShield project continues to invest in smart environmental infrastructure to ensure that communities across the region are better equipped to understand and respond to air quality challenges.
