Operation purpose and expected achievements:
The main objective of the RISE-UP project is to foster cooperation between partners from rural regions of all three countries to enhance the quality of healthcare services, preventive healthcare, and accessibility for vulnerable and marginalized groups. As part of the project, preventive examinations, home-based services, and educational workshops for citizens and healthcare professionals will be organized and pilot project will be implemented (at least 120 free preventive examinations will be conducted during the piloting phase). Also, within the project, valuable medical equipment, vehicles, and ICT solutions will be procured.
Beneficiaries:
The Lead Partner (LP), Public Institution Healthcare Center Ljubuski (BA), is responsible for overall project management and monitoring of the project implementation. LP will also contribute to the communication and dissemination activities and organization of the events. Also, within the project, HCLJ will implement the following activities: purchase of valuable medical equipment, organization of medical home visits (nurses, physiotherapist etc), organisation of the preventive systematic examinations (to prevent chronic diseases, oncological diseases, preventive dental and oral health dental healthcare etc.), organisation of various educational workshops / trainings for (emergency) medical procedures and training for the usage of purchased medical equipment.
Healthcare Center Metkovic (HR), will manage and coordinate communication and dissemination activities. PP2 will implement the following activities: purchase of medical equipment that will improve prevention and healthcare services in region, organisation of medical home visits and systematic examinations that will be conducted with new equipment. Also, two times a year (4 in total during the project duration) HCM will organize “open doors” where everyone interested will be able to make examinations for free and without a doctor’s referral; organisation of educational workshops etc.
Public Institution Healthcare Centre Zenica (BA), as the project partner is responsible for the project management, organization of meetings, and the implementation of the project activities. Project partner will also contribute to the communication and dissemination activities and organize one event to disseminate project results. Within the project, following activities will be implemented: purchase of medical equipment, organisation of the preventive gynaecological, dental and oral health and systematic preventive examinations, organisation of educational workshops/trainings, and participation on a study visit together with other project partners.
Public Institution Healthcare Centre Tivat (ME) is responsible for implementation of the following activities: purchase of medical equipment (3D mammography, equipment for microbiological diagnostic unit, ambulance vehicle, patronage vehicle), organisation of preventive mammography screenings and two educational workshops regarding healthy lifestyles, obesity prevention, and breast cancer prevention, organisation of educations/trainings for handling and operating with the newly purchased equipment. PP4 will be in charge of organizing a study visit, i.e. finding healthcare institution/s to learn examples of good practices, exchange of knowledge, and enhance skills of the healthcare professionals.
