As part of the project SmartProtect – Contemporary Technologies for Natural and Man-Made Disasters Management, a workshop was held on October 17, 2025, within Work Package 2 – Activity 2.1 “Defining a Joint Strategy and Procedures for Preventive Activities”, as part of the 15th Autumn Firefighting Professional Conference of the Croatian Firefighting Association, at the VACETRAS Firefighting Center in Vučevica.
The workshop brought together representatives of national, regional, and local firefighting institutions from Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with participation from the academic community and the private sector. Discussions focused on strategies for using advanced technologies in the prevention and protection against natural disasters caused by climate change, accompanied by a presentation of the project-acquired equipment – drones and mobile towers equipped with integrated specialized cameras.
As part of the workshop, a panel discussion was also held with experts in the field of firefighting.
