On 26 September 2024, the Kick-off conference for the project “Sport Facilities Green Energy” (SINERGY) was held in Tuzla. The City of Tuzla is the leading partner in the SINERGY project, while other partners are the Public Institution for the Management of Sports Facilities of the City of Vukovar from the Republic of Croatia, the municipality of Herceg Novi from Montenegro, and the non-governmental organization Center for Ecology and Energy from Tuzla.
This project, with total value EUR 1,856,980.94, represents a significant step towards a more sustainable future for sports facilities in the region, strengthening cooperation between countries and improving the living conditions of local communities. This will be achieved through major interventions in the implementation of energy-efficient solutions in the Sports Centers in Tuzla, Vukovar and Igalo, as well as through the education of primary users in managing energy-efficient solutions
