As part of the To Zero Waste project, a Small School of Recycling was organised the last week in cooperation with two primary schools in Mostar, aiming to raise environmental awareness among children through interactive and practical learning.
Through workshops, quizzes and hands-on examples, pupils learned the fundamentals of proper waste separation, recycling processes and responsible environmental behaviour. Special emphasis was placed on everyday habits and the role of individuals and families in reducing waste at source.
The activity demonstrated the importance of early education in shaping long-term sustainable behaviour and confirmed that children play a key role in transferring knowledge from schools to their families and the wider community.
