The second Programming Task Force meeting held in November

More than 30 Programming Task Force (PTF) members from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro participated at the 2nd PTF meeting held virtually on 27 November 2020.

Managing Authority in charge of coordination of the programming process organized the meeting in order to inform Programming Task Force members about state of play of the trialogue negotiations held between European Commission, Council of the European Union and European Parliament regarding Regulations relevant for Interreg programmes, especially novelties in the area of policy objectives for financial perspective 2021-2027. The Managing Authority also informed the members of the PTF that the political agreement for post-2020 legislative package relevant for European Territorial Cooperation programmes (“Interreg”) is expected to be reached in December 2020, meaning that currently open issues will be finally agreed by the time of the next PTF meeting.

Also, the members of the PTF discussed and approved the Inception Report for Territorial and socio-economic analysis of the programme area as a basis for the development of new Interreg IPA cross-border cooperation programme for the financial perspective 2021 – 2027. The Inception report was prepared and presented by external experts.

Programming Task Force members concluded that in order to detect main cross-border opportunities and challenges of the programme area and to achieve quality input regarding thematic and territorial focus, it is important to obtain valuable information from programme area stakeholders. This will be done through online survey, interviews and focus group workshops organized in December 2020. Following stakeholders’ consultations, the first draft of Territorial and socio-economic analysis of the programme area is expected to be available in February 2021.

The meeting was successful as all discussed matters and approved Inception report related to contract for preparation of Territorial and socio-economic analysis is a step closer to designing new Interreg IPA cooperation programme 2021-2027.
