Implementation Launch Conference and 2nd Implementation Workshop Held in Montenegro

On July 10th 2017, implementation launch conference was held in Podgorica, Montenegro, whose aim was to mark the beginning of the implementation of the projects contracted within the 1st Call for Proposals published in the framework of the programme Interreg-IPA CBC Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014-2020. The conference was organized by the Agency for Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of European Affairs of Montenegro.
At the conference, the results of the 1st Call for Proposals were presented to the interested public. The introductory speeches were held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Mr. Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, the Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia, Mrs. Gabrijela Žalac, Asisstant Director of the Direction for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mrs. Zara Halilović, Ambassador of the European Union in Montenegro, Mr. Aivo Orav and the Acting Director of the Agency for Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia, Mrs. Stella Arneri.
All of the speakers expressed their support to the Programme and highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation in the framework of the Cohesion Policy of the European Union. The introductory speeches were followed by presentation of the results of the contracting process as well as examples of projects contracted in the framework of the 1st Call for Proposals.
After the conference, from July 11th to July 13th, the 2nd Implementation Workshop was held in Herceg Novi, Montenegro, organized by the Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat of the Programme. The Workshop was provided for representatives of Project Partners participating in the projects contracted in the framework of the 1st Call for Proposals. All key aspects of project implementation were presented to the participants of the workshop, such as reporting obligations, reporting in the eMS, financial management of the project, project modifications, visibility requirements and public procurement procedure.
