STRONGER, co-financed within the Priority Axis 4 of the Programme, announced upcoming educational activities for SMEs during a project conference held on 27 February 2019.
Trying to overcome lack of specific knowledge for the herb-related industry sector and missing specialized laboratories, the Stronger project is dedicated to empowering SMEs in the specific herbs collecting and processing industry. The project gathered partners from Slavonski Brod, Zadar, Podgorica and Sarajevo to jointly develop an e-platform for B2B and e-learning. This was also the topic of the conference held in Slavonski Brod.
“The project is worth almost 1 million EUR, of which 85% is co-financed by the EU and 15% by project partners. A series of education for BSOs and SMEs that are dealing with breeding, production and processing of medicinal herbs is planned within the project. We are also planning other educations based on product development, presentation and branding, to help SMEs in reaching the ultimate customer. The development of an e-platform for networking SMEs of Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia is envisaged as well.” said the project manager Mr. Domagoj Miljković.
The educational activities are planned to start in April 2019 through 6 three-day modules. These modules are organized by five project partners working on the project: Centre for Development of Brod – Posavina County, Business Women Association of Montenegro, Association of Business Women in B&H, Institution for development of competence, innovation and specialization of Zadar County and University of Zadar.
Altogether, partners have so far implemented internet and social networks campaigns and analyzed actual practices in cross-border cluster models and business support services. Analysis of potential beneficiaries’ needs was also completed and the web platform is currently being developed.
The conference was also attended by Ms. Mirela Brechelmacher, the Director of Centre for Development of Brod – Posavina County, Mr. Damir Mirković, Deputy County Mayor of Brod-Posavina County and other interested parties and media.
