The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union Cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. This year’s event headline is “Regions and Cities: Pillars of the EU’s Future”.
The European Week of Regions and Cities event was created in 2003 and in the past years has become an EU-wide networking platform for experts in regional and local development. Dealing with topics such as social inclusion, cross-border cooperation, public-private partnerships, regional innovation, the event serves to exchange practices and form new partnerships. It welcomes more than 6.000 participants every October in Brussels on more than 300 workshops, exhibitions, participatory labs and presentations. See what kind of activities the event will offer in the video below.
