The first Programming Task Force meeting was held in Zagreb on 16 December 2019 and was attended by more than 30 representatives of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
The Programming Task Force is set up to discuss the future of the Interreg IPA CBC Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro in the 2021-2027 period. By examining cross-border cooperation and experiences of the current financial period, the programming will result with new options and concepts for the future Programme.
Task Force meetings are attended by representatives of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro and will serve to foster dialogue between the countries, Programme bodies and the European Commission. The first meeting was a chance to discuss upcoming steps in the programming process. In particular, the Cross-Border Orientation Paper was presented by EC representative, necessary tasks concerning the territorial and socioeconomic analysis were discussed and additional tasks about Programme preparation were announced.
The meeting was a great opportunity to discuss and share views about priorities in the upcoming period. It can be concluded that first steps were made to ensure an efficient and transparent approach to future cooperation of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. Based on outcomes of the meeting, the programming announces a vital dialogue that will continue to tackle relevant challenges of the Programme area, and seek for new solutions in planning integrated development as well.
