Project ASIQ held online kick-off conference

The online kick-off conference of project ASIQ – “Improving Accessibility and Availability of Health and Social Services to Enhance Social Inclusion Quality for Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities” was held on 23 September 2020. The on line event gathered more than 50 participants from relevant institutions and organizations in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The aim of the conference was to present the project, planned results, activities and partner consortium, to the wide professional audience.

The project is financed by EU through Interreg IPA CBC Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020 and will last until 31 December 2021. The total value of the project is 575 122,10 EUR, out of which 488 278,64 EUR is co-financed by the EU.

City Development Agency Banja Luka is the Lead Partner, and the other partners on the project are: Public Institution Center “Protect me”, Banja Luka, Public Institution “Center for Education and Upbringing and Rehabilitation of Hearing and Speech”, Banja Luka, Primary school “Voštarnica”, Zadar and Public Institution “Resource Center for children and youth Podgorica”, Podgorica.

The main project objective is to increase the accessibility, availability and quality of the provided health and social care services and education for children and youth with developmental disabilities in cross-border area. Expected project results are: improved health and social services for children and youth with developmental disabilities living in cross-border area; Setting up new service for diagnostics and procurement of new equipment for work with children and youth with developmental disabilities; Education of professionals who work with children and youth with developmental disabilities and establishing cooperation end exchange of knowledge and information.
