As a part of the implementation of project I.N.G.R.I.D. – Development of Energy Efficiency Sustainable Network of Cities and Municipalities in Cross -Border Area, series of trainings for different groups of stakeholders from the Municipality of Krnjak, the Lead partner of the project, was held in June and July.
The half-day training for schoolteachers and professors titled “Energy transition begins with the first steps” has introduced participants to energy needs, principles and measures of energy efficiency, the potential of renewable energy sources and the behavior of building users in that context.
The aim of the training was to enable teachers to transfer knowledge to the preschoolers and primary school age children and contribute to the dissemination of information and implementation of measures related to energy efficiency and renewable energy sources through their activities within the institution in which they work. A total of 25 participants attended the training.
Also, a three-day training was held for energy info offices staff with the aim of improving the capacity of employees on energy efficiency. In addition to the Municipality of Krnjak, training brought together energy info office managers from project partners – Velika Kladuša, Podgorica and Kostajnica.
Finally, a half-day training for representatives of the private business sector – architects and representatives of construction companies called “With profession to energy transition” was realized with the aim of applying newly acquired knowledge in design and construction. A total of 14 participants attended the training.
All trainings were held by the Regional Energy Agency REGEA. Similar trainings will be held on the locations of all project partners.
The goal of I.N.G.R.I.D. project is to improve the cooperation of municipalities and cities in the cross-border area on the topic of sustainable energy sources using a series of promotional activities. The emphasis is on the implementation of the so-called “pilot” project investments in the areas of the three partners to realize examples of good energy efficiency practice.
The project implementation started in February 2020 and will end in April 2022. It is funded through the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014-2020.
