The first edition of “Night of Fortresses”, a cross-border event aimed at popularizing and promoting cultural heritage in the programme area, will be held from 29-30 April 2022, and will include concerts, workshops, exhibitions and guided tours in more than 40 locations.
The organizers of this unique event are partners in the project FORTITUDE: Fortress of Culture Šibenik, City of Banja Luka, City of Karlovac and Municipality of Bar.
The organization of joint cultural events is one of the goals of the project FORTITUDE which will contribute to the improvement and diversification of the tourist offer of historic fortified sites as a way to raise the tourist attractiveness of historic locations and attract visitors outside the tourist season. The total value of the project is EUR 1,618,438.72, from which 85% is co-financed by the Interreg IPA CBC Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014-2020.
More than 40 fortification sites in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro will join the manifestation with the aim of making the Night of Fortress a traditional annual event.
