The final conference of the SMART SCHOOLS 2 project was held in Slavonski Brod on 2 October 2023. At the final presentation, the participants learned about the numerous details of the project, as well as the achieved benefits, which gives insight into the great collaboration between the partners from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the end of the project, interesting information on the effects could be heard, so it was explained that with the installation of 26 photovoltaic power plants (16 in the Brod-Posavina County and 10 in the Tuzla Canton), of a power a bit less than 0.5 MW, about 500,000 kWh are produced per year. This amount of electricity is sufficient for the annual supply of 110 households.
The project is worth EUR 2,026,231.89 in total, and it was co-funded with EUR 1,722,297.10 (85 percent) within the INTERREG IPA CBC Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014 – 2020.
The project implementation period was 36 months, from 15 October 2020 to 14 October 2023.
