Demonstration exercise entitled “MOSTAR RACE 2022” was successfully organized by the Lead Partner of project RACE and performed on 29 March 2022 in Mostar area, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Health Center Mostar as the lead partner of the project, together with the cross-borders partners: the Institute of Emergency Medicine of Zagreb County and the Institute of Emergency Medicine of Montenegro, including the help of local organizations, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of the Interior, the Fire Brigade, the Red Cross, the Civil Protection of the City of Mostar, the Civil Protection of the HNC and the Mountain Rescue Team successfully completed a demonstration exercise aimed at creating a unified protocol for dealing with mass accidents.
The exercise simulated an earthquake in the area of the City of Mostar, and after a report from the citizens, an operation to rescue and take care of the injured was started. Collaboration of all services in such cases is crucial and we are extremely pleased with the cooperation and demonstration of joint intervention.
During this exercise, all cross-border partners presented the new sanitary vehicles and equipment procured through the RACE project, but also demonstrated their skills that they acquired through joint educational activities.
