The Interreg IPA CBC Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020 is celebrating European Cooperation Day 2018 this week in Herceg Novi.
This year we’re celebrating with an event dedicated to children. Three homes for children from three countries participating in the Programme will spend the day playing and painting, watching theatre shows and sharing fun experiences. The event will take place on 3 October 2018 in Herceg Novi, Montenegro.
Our idea is to organize an event in which children can learn about cooperation in the European Union and creatively express their thoughts and have fun. Teamed up with a street artist and children facilitators, our cross-border version of an art colony will have children paint a wall mural in Herceg Novi.
The event aims to gather experiences on what it’s like growing up in a border region, what kids think of each other’s countries and to provide a playground for rediscovering our neighboring cultures. This is why the mural will reflect geographical and cultural motifs unique to this part of Europe and tell a story of cooperation between Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
Participation is limited to children of the three homes for children that are participating in the EC Day.
The event in Herceg Novi is organized by the Managing Authority of the Interreg IPA CBC Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020, in cooperation with the National Authorities: Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia, Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Prime Minister’s Office – European Integration Office of Montenegro.
