Final conference of the project Improving Accessibility and Availability of Health and Social Services to Enhance Social Inclusion Quality for Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities – ASIQ, co-financed through the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014-2020, was held on 15 December 2021 in Banja Luka.
Due to COVID-19 pandemics, the final conference was organized in a combined mode: face-to-face for participants from Banja Luka area and via online platform for participants from Croatia and Montenegro.
Documentary movie „Who are we – the ASIQ project“, filmed for the project purposes, was played to the participants and followed by the presentation prepared jointly by all project partners. The presentation provided insight through whole project implementation process, implemented project activities, procured equipment for senzor integration, assistive technologies, ORL, facility reconstruction, transportation vehicles for students and partner’s expert staff trainings, as well as achieaved project objectives and indicators. The joint conclusion was that achieved project results have led to significantly improved accessability, availability and quality of social and health services and teaching process for children and youth with development disabilities.
Representatives of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina – Department for Education – Banja Luka Office, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republika Srpska, the City of Banja Luka and the rest of participants praised results achieved within the set time frame, emphasizing that it all took place in the time of COVID-19 pandemic.
