KICK OFF CONFERENCE OF PROJECT ERI HEALTH

On 16 March 2021, Public Health Institute of Republic of Srpska organized online kick off conference of project ERI-HEALTH – Public Health Preparedness for Cross-borders Epidemics and Emergencies.

Project overall objective is to improve quality and accessibility of public health services in cross-border epidemics and emergencies. Project intends to improve anthropozoonoses and vector-borne diseases diagnostic services, which will enable the project partners to timely detect public health events. Considering the current situation with COVID-19 pandemic, the focus of the project is on improvement of the PCR diagnostic services for COVID-19. Project will also provide training for healthcare professionals on the anthropozoonoses and vector-borne diseases diagnostic, as well continuous coordination and informing target groups and general public on new and improved services.

Cross-border cooperation is necessary by the cross-border nature of the communicable diseases themselves. Where cross- border cooperation exists, coordinated efforts create both better results and synergy.

ERI-HEALTH project is co-financed through the 2nd Call for Proposals of Interreg IPA CBC Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014-2020. Total project budget is 999.329,54 EUR and the project will be implemented for 24 months.

Lead partner is the Public Health Institute of Republic of Srpska, and other project partners are the Public Health Institute of Sisak-Moslavina County and the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro.
