According to the invitation sent by the Leading Partner, Institute of Public Health Zadar, of the project MELAdetect, financed from the grant funds of the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020, a kick-off meeting of project partners took place in Zadar, Croatia. The meeting was held on Friday, 21 July 2017, starting at 11 am in the premises of the Department for Mental Health and Prevention of Addiction.
The meeting was organized with the aim to enable all members of the project team, appointed from the partner institutions, to get better acquainted with further steps of the project, and in order to determine the work plan and specific responsibilities of all members of the management team, as well as to establish a Steering Committee. During the meeting, the participants of the kick-off meeting also discussed the issues from workshops in Orašje, Herceg Novi and Zadar, organized by the Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020. The project partners discussed their responsibilities, deadlines, visibility, communication and funding.
On behalf of the host, the meeting was opened and the participants were welcomed by the Director of the Public Health Institute Zadar, Mr. Zoran Škrgatić, and the meeting was coordinated and led by Ms. Jelena Ćosić-Dukić, Project Manager. The meeting was attended by the project team members and associates from all partner institutions:
1. Institute of Public Health Zadar;
2. University of Zadar;
3. Zadar County Development Agency ZADRA NOVA;
4. Faculty of Medicine, University of Mostar, and
5. PHI General Hospital “Blažo Orlandić”, Bar.
All present project partner representatives took an active part in the meeting, during which the Steering Committee for monitoring the implementation of the project was formed. After the meeting, project partner representatives continued with informal socializing and sightseeing of Zadar.
