Modern medical equipment procured within project TELE.DOC

As a part of project TELE.DOC – “Innovative Trauma and Injury Management Practices for Improved Patient Care in Cross Border Area”, Public Institution Canton Hospital „Dr. Safet Mujić” Mostar procured modern medical equipment for the treatment of traumatic patients in the total amount of EUR 202.000,00.

Modern anaesthetic device with specific characteristics and performances is the first device of this type installed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Anaesthetic device creates the high-quality ventilation for individual strategy of ventilation to continuously ease and support patients’ spontaneous breathing. This type of device contains the turbine which creates the emission of mixed gases providing minimal circulation of the gas that can help in the treatment of Covid-19 and other respiratory diseases. Public Institution Canton Hospital „Dr. Safet Mujić“ Mostar has also procured: one transport respirator for children and adults, one patient monitor for vital functions, one portable biphasic defibrillator, one 12-channel ECG device, one resuscitation trolley with accessories, six different sets for traumatic orthopaedic surgery, one orthopaedic saw for bone treatment and other equipment intended for care and transport of patients in the state of trauma.

Hospital staff has received the practical training on use of medical equipment on 15 and 16 March 2021. Considering current situation with Covid-19 pandemic, mentioned equipment will greatly contribute in treatment of Covid-19 patients and other hospitalized patients.

Project TELE.DOC is funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020. The implementation of the project started on 1 March 2020 and will last until 28 February 2022. The total value of the project is 1,116,029,99 EUR. Project Partners are: General Hospital Kotor and Municipality of Kotor (Montenegro), General Hospital Dubrovnik (Croatia) and Public Institution Canton Hospital „Dr. Safet Mujić“ Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
