Project Smart Schools 2 won first place in the Grand Prix Award

An awards ceremony of the National Environmental Awards – Green Prix for the best achievements in environmental protection in 2022 was held on 4 June 2022 in Zagreb and was organized by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development in partnership with the Greencajt Festival, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.

The aim of this award was to identify and award those who contribute the most to climate and environmental goals of the sustainable development in Croatia and to support those who contribute to transition towards climate-neutral and resource-efficient society.

The competition was open for six categories: green campaign, green innovation, decarbonize local community, local and regional self-government as initiators of green changes, education for climate future and Greenleader.

The winner of this year’s Green Prix in the category of local and regional self-government, as initiators of green changes, is project Smart Schools 2, co-funded through the Interreg IPA cross-border cooperation programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020.
