The project manager from General Hospital Zadar Mr. Marko Mašina said that the goal of this project is to standardize laboratory tests in all three countries of the programme area – Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

The assistant coordinator of the project Mrs. Tamara Knežević, MD emphasized that this pneumatic tube transport system consists of 8 entrance stations is located in all departments, wards and services of the “Blažo Orlandić” General Hospital Bar, and interconnected with the receiving station located in the Laboratory Diagnostics Service. In this way it is possible to transport samples to the laboratory immediately after taking bloodor urine collection in specially designed cassettes within a few seconds, which ensures faster diagnosis and earlier start of treatment.
