On 9 November 2022, the “Climate champions” awarding ceremony was held in Sarajevo where our project “Innovative mind to ICT smart schools”, acronym: „Smart schools 2“participated.
The competition was a part of the project Climate bridges, with goal to identify and award the best good practice examples from Southeast Europe in combatting climate changes. Seven projects in total were awarded as climate champions, including SMART SCHOOLS 2. This prestigious award shall additionally encourage project partners to continue implementing this and similar projects.
Climate bridges is implemented by 4 partners from Austria, Albania, Croatia and the Association Centre for energy, environment, and resources – CENER 21 from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who also hosted this ceremony. The project is funded by the Climate Initiative of the European Union (EUKI).
The main goal of the „Smart schools 2“ project is to contribute to the establishment of a sustainable and carbon-neutral energy system in the project region, so this award is a great achievement for the project.
