The final conference of the ERI-HEALTH project

The final conference of the ERI-HEALTH project – Public Health Preparedness for Cross-border Epidemics and Emergencies was held in Banja Luka on 23 February 2023. The conference was organized by the Public Health Institute of the Republic of Srpska in cooperation with the Public Health Institute of Sisak – Moslavina County and Public Health Institute of Montenegro.

Through this project, the health care system has been significantly improved in the fight against viruses and infectious diseases through the education of professional staff, as well as the analysis of laboratory carriers of diseases.

Significant results were achieved, and the most modern equipment was acquired.

As part of the conference, a panel discussion was held where experiences were shared regarding the emergence of the COVID-19 and other infectious diseases that are a threat to public health. The importance of continuous cooperation between neighbouring countries was emphasized, not only in the field of infectious diseases, but also more widely.
