Within the RACE FOR LIFE project two new and fully equipped ambulance vehicles were delivered to the Mostar Health Center on 17 September 2020 in Mostar. The formal reception was held on the ground floor of the City Hall, and was attended by Mr Ljubo Bešlić, Mayor of Mostar, Mr Mario Kordić, Director of the Mostar Health Center and other project participants, as well as employees of the Mostar Health Center.
In the first part of the project cycle, the Mostar Health Center procured two modern and fully equipped ambulance vehicles for the needs of the Emergency Medical Service, their value is 163.600,00 EUR. These vehicles will be in the service of all citizens of the City of Mostar and its surroundings and all potential users of emergency medical services, which will result in faster, more efficient and effective service for all our beneficiaries and uniformed level of service delivery in first aid providers in the cross-border area.
The RACE FOR LIFE project aim is to harmonize and improve emergency medical services in the cross-border area in order to achieve greater efficiency and professionalism in preserving human lives. The project will last 24 months and its implementation period is from 15 February 2020 to 14 February 2022. The project lead partner is the Mostar Health Center, while the cross-border project partners are the Zagreb County Institute of Emergency Medicine and the Montenegrin Institute of Emergency Medicine. The total value of the project is 940.443,29 EUR, out of which 799.376,78 EUR is co-financed by ERDF and IPA II funds of the European Union.
