About
The COMPETE PLAMET project addresses the metal and plastic sector in the targeted project are: Šibenik-Knin County in Croatia and Zapadno Hercegovačka County in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The overall project objective is to enhance services of business support institutions to SMEs in the specific metal and plastic industry, as existing programmes of these institutions do not respond to actual needs of entrepreneurs. COMPETE PLAMET activities include setting up a cross-border metal and plastic sector knowledge network, improving institutional business support infrastructure in the City of Šibenik, Croatia and in Municipality of Posušje, Bosnia and Herzegovina and equipping two technology parks with necessary technology for metal and plastic processing.
Partners
The lead partner, Public Institution Development agency of West Herzegovina county HERAG (BA), will organise CNC training programmes for operators from the Programme area working in this field of work. The partner will also invest efforts in coordinating partners and ensuring effective implementation of activities.
Public Institution Development Agency of Šibenik Knin County for coordination and fostering regional development of Šibenik-Knin County (CRO) will coordinate project activities in Croatian part of the project territory, such as equipping technical workshops with CNC machines that will be at disposal to entrepreneurs who will develop their innovative products in metal; capacity building of staff that will provide support to entrepreneurs in their future work; educating and facilitating networking among Croatian and Bosnian and Herzegovinian entrepreneurs.
Municipality of Posušje (BA) is in charge of bringing new facilities, equipment and services in the TecPark Osrdak. The equipment that will be acquired consists of CNC support machinery which will lead to better competitiveness of SMEs working in the project area.
