About

The main objective of the IMPHACT project is to improve the palliative care service in the region by: procurement of IT hardware and software equipment, 3 specialized vehicles for mobile teams and procurement of medical equipment in the amount of approximately 350,000 EUR; establishing palliative care services (mobile teams); developing  E-platform with a virtual doctor to raise citizens’ awareness of palliative care services; implementing national health standards and accreditations for health centers; developing and implementing 4 types of specialized training on palliative care for persons who will be trained to provide palliative care (doctors, nurses, family members, social workers); improving diagnostic services in 4 health centers and organizing specialized trainings for the use of new medical equipment for doctors and nurses.

Partners

The Lead Partner, Health Centre Metković – HCM (HR), coordinates the whole project through its operational, financial and administrative structure. Main responsibilities of the LP are: to organize meetings, kick-off meeting where Steering Technical Committee (STC) will be established, day to day project management, communication with partners and reporting to programme bodies, monitoring of the project implementation, leading STC meetings, etc. HCM will also organize training and education workshops – 1 workshop for each target group (4 total) in Croatia, participate in developing joint cross border strategy for palliative care, action plan and policy paper, purchase equipment to improve health care service, implement Croatian Health Care Standard and obtain certificate from Croatian Health Care Accreditation Agency. HCM will also provide information and documents for E-Platform.

Health Centre Ljubuški –  HCLJ (BA), is responsible for organisation of the Train the trainers workshop for other partners and together with Health Centar Zenica will organize 2 workshops for target groups from Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ljubuški (1 workshop for doctors and nurses and 1 workshop for family members of the patients in need for palliative care). HCLJ will also participate in developing joint cross border strategy for palliative care, action plan and policy paper, purchase equipment to improve health care service and establish palliative care mobile team. HCLJ is also responsible for providing information and documents for E-Platform.

Primary health care center Podgorica – HCP (ME) is responsible for WP Communication and  for developing Communication Strategy and Dissemination Action Plan, media relations – sending articles, creation of newsletters,videos, brochures and leaflets, developing project web site and E-platform, opening social media profiles, dissemination of the project on events and organizing 1st STC meeting. Primary health care center Podgorica will organize and conduct Training and education workshops in ME, 1 workshop for each target group (4 in total), participate in developing joint cross border strategy for palliative care, purchase equipment to improve health care service, participate in developing joint procedure, implement National standard and ISO 9001 Standard and obtain certificates.

Public Health center Zenica – HCZ (BA) is responsible for developing joint cross border strategy for palliative care, purchasing equipment to improve health care service, exchanging experience with partners and international institutions,  provide information and documents for E-Platform and present results of the project to the policy makers in Sarajevo. HCZ together with HCLJ will organize and conduct 2 workshops for target groups from BIH in Zenica (1 workshop for social care workers and 1 workshop for local authorities). HCZ ise responsible for organization of the 4th STC meeting in Zenica and also certification of Mobile Pallitaive Team in accordance with National Health Care Standard.
