About

Project Inclusive Play aims to create inclusive environment and advance possibilities for children with disabilities and special needs by strengthening the community’s ability to provide the latest therapy standards and practices through inclusive play. Project activities are strongly focused on capacity building of experts working with children with disabilities, as they are directly responsible for the quality and accessibility of community services (8 know-how workshops for 20 experts working with children with disabilities and 5 certified training courses for 20 experts/employees of partner institutions). The essential role of family members in everyday care of children with disabilities and special needs is highlighted through organization of six (6) specialized workshops for forty (40) participants of this target group. By arranging children’s playgrounds in Zadar and Mostar and adapting them to the needs of children with disabilities (multisensory parks), the project ultimately strengthens their development and physical, cognitive, emotional and social interaction.

The Lead partner aims to foster community understanding on social inclusion of children with disabilities and special needs through organization of two (2) cross-border panel discussions, one (1) open day session and one (1) cross border volunteer initiative (performing small-scale infrastructure works and planting aromatic herbs in multisensory parks).
