The Adriatic Hinterland is an area with rather undeveloped roads, poorly connected cities and lacking specialist treatment which has a direct impact on the health of its population. Life-saving time response is extended, higher mortality rates occur. This creates challenges for local residents in satisfying even basic health needs. The Q-Access-HC builds on mutual know-how and focuses on two main segments: quality of the healhcare sector and access to medical services. The quality segment will be addressed by introducing Quality Management System and ISO certifications, while access will be increased by diversifying healthcare services and widening access to citizens in rural areas. The project will modernize Ljubuški Health Center, improve diagnostic services of partner institutions and set up Mobile Palliative Teams.
The lead partner of the project, Health Centre Ljubuški (BA), will coordinate the whole project and focus their efforts on the introduction of Quality Management System (and follow-up ISO certification), forming, equipping and education of mobile palliative teams, organising complementary and joint rescue exercises in poorly accessible areas in the border area and acquiring equipment for improvement of diagnostics.
Same as the lead partner, Health Centre Metković (CRO) will work on Quality Management System activities, setting up mobile palliative teams and organising rescue exercises, but expanding the project activities to the Metković project area.
