About

As a response to the Priority Axis 2 of the Programme, RMPPI project plans to mobilize research in the Programme area towards solving key renewable energy issues. Renewable energy utilization is seen as a tool to achieve sustainability in energy consumption and combat climate change. The project plans to deliver a hybrid solar-wind power module for Micro power plants and develop a total of 80 prototypes. These prototypes will serve as an example of how small investments can bring renewable energy sources to public buildings. The prototypes will be produced and distributed to public institutions in the Programme area as well, resulting in 80 kW of additional renewable energy power installed.

Partners

Faculty of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and naval architecture at the University of Split (CRO) is the lead partner of the project who will develop the Hybrid micro power plant (MPP) module of 1 kW of nominal power.

With extensive experience in education, cooperation and development of bottom-up policy measures in the area of sustainable energy, Society for sustainable Development Design (CRO) will draft policy suggestions, raise awareness on the project subject and ensure dissemination of developed technology.

Together with the lead partner, Foundation for innovation and technology development (BA) will develop the innovative solution of hybrid micro solar-wind power plant module. Also, the partner will implement micro power plants in five schools and the INTERA building itself and promote the concept of micro power plants throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
