NEAT AND GREEN

Priority Axis 2: Green investments in environmental protection and efficient risk management
Operation start date: 1 August 2026
Operation completion date: 31 July 2028
Budget: EUR 1.356.938,94
Number of partners: 4

Operation purpose and expected achievements:
The NEAT AND GREEN project aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by strengthening the capacity of local public authorities to implement sustainable energy management measures across Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. The project addresses the need for better energy planning and monitoring through the development and update of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs), the creation of regional reporting guidelines, residential building typologies, and a shared online energy management platform with energy consumption and CO₂ emissions monitoring tools. Pilot investments include the installation of heat pump systems in public buildings, a photovoltaic power plant with electric vehicle charging stations, and the establishment of Energy Efficiency Green Points providing advice and energy monitoring services for households. Through the Regional Energy Efficiency Academy, joint training programmes, study visits, public awareness campaigns, and youth engagement activities, the project will strengthen institutional capacities, improve energy performance, and promote the wider adoption of sustainable energy solutions across the Programme area.
