After the European Commission approved Interreg VI-A IPA programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro at the beginning of November last year, the first Monitoring Committee meeting was held on 29 – 30 March 2023 in Kotor, Montenegro.

Monitoring Committee is responsible for the review of overall effectiveness, quality and coherence of the implementation of all actions towards meeting the Programme objectives in line with Article 30 of the Interreg Regulation. The members of the Monitoring Committee represent the participating countries (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro) thus ensuring a transparent approach in monitoring the Programme implementation.

In the first meeting of Monitoring Committee, the representatives of the three participating countries, the European Commission, Managing Authority and Joint Secretariat discussed and adopted the following documents:

This was also the occasion for the Monitoring Committee to decide on the time frame for the 1st Call for Proposals which is expected at the end of April/beginning of May.

The programme will allocate EUR 41.095.300,00 of EU funds to the 1st CfP.

As part of the meeting, as an example of good practice,

  • the EXCHANGE project (University of Montenegro – Institute of Marine Biology Kotor and Tourism organization of Kotor) and
  • the Wrecks4All project (University of Montenegro – Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor)

which were financed under the 2nd Call for Proposals within Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014 – 2020, were visited.
