Educational and medical equipment procured within project RACE

As part of project RACE, the Lead Partner – Health Centre Mostar procured educational, medical equipment and sanitary material for Emergency Medical Service in total value of EUR 118.578.

Medical equipment will help in improving technical capacity of emergency medical service in Mostar and it will largely benefit the patients. This equipment includes defibrillators, ECGs, suction pumps, Automated external defibrillators (AEDs), ultrasound machine and other necessary sanitary materials and equipment needed for providing emergency medical care.

As far as educational equipment goes, this procurement included: 4 basic life support training manikins for children and adults, 2 advanced life support training manikins, Pneumothorax training manikin, Set for education of setting the intraosseous pathway, Endotracheal intubation exercise trainers for adults and children and AED simulators.

After all this necessary equipment has been procured, the project activities of educating the citizens of Mostar in the field of first aid will soon be feasible. 10 AED devices will be placed in strategic public places in the City of Mostar, and all participants in the training will be trained to handle them. Health Centre Mostar will also use this equipment for continuous advanced trainings of its medical staff in cooperation with partners from Croatia and Montenegro.
