ESPON public consultation – Living, working and travelling across borders

ESPON is an EU-funded programme that supports public authorities responsible for designing territorial policies with quality expertise.

The Programme provides territorial analyses, data and maps to:

  • support EU development policies –and particularly Cohesion Policy- with facts and evidence.
  • help public authorities to benchmark their region or city, identify new challenges and potentials and shape successful development policies for the future.

ESPON activities are clustered in Thematic Action Plans. As part of this approach, ESPON has launched a public consultation for 4 new priorities and one of them is dedicated to Living, working and travelling across borders!

You are invited to participate, comment, or propose anything you find relevant to help ESPON to shape the future of European research on territorial development.

If you are interested in commenting, adding or suggesting something new about this TAP you can join the debate!

Feel free to use the email address: consultation@espon.eu for sending your written contribution (short or long, questions or proposals, bullet points or plain texts, articles…).

In addition, the Programme provides the possibility of direct participation and exchange of ideas and comments with ESPON team of experts – so everyone interested can join one of two focus group meetings organised on 20 and 22 February 2023.

The consultation process is open to everyone until 1 March 2023.
