The Health Center Tivat Modernized its Gynecology Department

The Health Center Tivat has modernized its Gynecology Department with state-of-the-art equipment through the project Before Time – Empowering Women and Communities to Protect Against Cervical Cancer, financed under the Interreg VI-A IPA programme.

Among the new devices are a Linet gynecological chair adapted for patients with disabilities, a Voluson S8 ultrasound system with 3D/4D software, a portable Vscan Air CL ultrasound probe, as well as sterilization equipment and a pharmaceutical refrigerator for safe storage of HPV and other vaccines.

This investment will enable faster and more precise diagnostics, improve patient comfort, and encourage more women to attend preventive check-ups. The project also promotes HPV vaccination, regular gynecological examinations, and introduces a pilot for HPV self-sampling — all aimed at strengthening prevention and early detection of cervical cancer.
