The Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor successfully organised a Promo Tour – the final conference within the MARROBO project, held on April 17, 2026, on the boat in the Boka Bay, Kotor. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation among institutions, academia, industry, and society, and to gather feedback for the further implementation and expansion of the project.

The event brought together numerous representatives of the academic community, institutions, industry, the non-governmental sector, and project partners from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. In the opening session, participants were addressed by representatives of partner institutions, including the project coordinator, Prof. Natalija Kavran, PhD (University of Zagreb – Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences), Prof. Srđan Vujičić, PhD (University of Dubrovnik – Faculty of Maritime Studies), Ms. Ana Krmek (Municipality of Neum), and Prof. Špiro Ivošević, PhD (University of Montenegro – Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor), who highlighted the importance of the project for advancing innovation in maritime robotics and the protection of the marine environment. During the conference, the achieved project results were presented, with a particular focus on the contributions of all partners and the objectives accomplished.

The highlight of the event was the demonstration of a VR application simulating the operation of an underwater robot, offering an interactive experience and direct insight into the advanced technological solutions developed within the MARROBO project. Additionally, an underwater robot (ROV) and accompanying equipment were showcased, including diving and technical gear. The event also emphasised achievements in project communication and visibility, demonstrating significant outreach to target groups, particularly in higher education, research, and public institutions.

The successful implementation of the Promo Tour represents an important step in further promoting the project’s results and confirms the value of cooperation among partner institutions. The event also provided an opportunity for networking and the initiation of new initiatives that will contribute to the continued development of innovation and the sustainable management of marine resources.

The Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor extends its gratitude to all participants, partners, collaborators, and friends of the project for their contributions and support in the realisation of this important event.
