The WATERLINK project conference took place in Trebinje on 30 July, presenting the project’s key results and the equipment procured as part of the project. The conference highlighted how the project has strengthened water resource management, enhanced technical capacities, and introduced modern solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of the water supply system.
Among the project’s key achievements are the development of a hydraulic model and digital mapping of the water supply network. These tools will enable faster leak detection, more effective management of non-revenue water, and better planning of future investments and network maintenance.
The WATERLINK project represents an important step in the modernisation of Trebinje’s water supply system. Given that the system is part of a regional network supplying Konavle in Croatia and Herceg Novi in Montenegro, the project also highlights the importance of cross-border cooperation in addressing shared environmental and infrastructure challenges.
