Our REVERS project continued to strengthen cross-border cooperation in nature protection and sustainable tourism through a joint round table, a field visit and a public presentation in Croatia.

On 30 September 2026, the Joint CBA Round Table “From Protected Nature to a Sustainable Tourism Experience” was held at the Cerovačke Caves Centre of Excellence in Gračac, bringing together representatives of nature protection, tourism, public administration, businesses and local communities from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Participants exchanged experiences and discussed practical approaches to managing visitor flows, protecting sensitive natural areas and developing sustainable tourism experiences that benefit both protected areas and local communities.

The activity continued with a field visit to Majstorska cesta, Tulove grede and the Zrmanja area, where participants explored the natural and cultural heritage of these locations and discussed the challenges of preserving sensitive landscapes while managing tourism activities.

Our REVERS project was also presented at the “Jesen u Lici” fair in Gospić, providing an opportunity to inform visitors about the project’s activities and the importance of cross-border cooperation in biodiversity protection, responsible visitor management and sustainable tourism development.

Through these activities, our REVERS project continues to connect nature protection, sustainable tourism and local communities, supporting the development of practical solutions for the long-term preservation and sustainable use of protected natural areas across the programme area.
