Tuzla welcomed 20 participants from Croatia on October 28 2026 as part of the PA.CON II – Pannonia–Adria Connection II project. The one-day thematic visit offered participants an opportunity to explore the city’s tourist attractions, natural and cultural heritage, and infrastructure improved through project activities.

The visit began at Ilinčica, an important recreational area offering opportunities for outdoor activities and spending time in nature. Participants learned about the available tourist facilities and infrastructure upgraded through the PA.CON I and PA.CON II projects, which contribute to improving visitor experiences and promoting active tourism.

A key highlight of the visit was the newly renovated Visitor Centre in Tuzla, one of the concrete results of the PA.CON II project. The improved facility provides better conditions for presenting the city’s tourism potential and informing visitors about local attractions and destinations in the surrounding area.

The programme also included a tour of Tuzla’s city centre, where participants explored its distinctive landmarks and cultural attractions. The visit continued to the Pannonian Lakes complex, one of the city’s most recognisable tourist destinations, and Slana Banja Memorial Park, an important site of Tuzla’s natural and cultural heritage.

Through this thematic visit, participants gained a broader insight into Tuzla’s tourism offer and the potential of connecting natural and cultural resources into an integrated tourist experience.

By showcasing local attractions and concrete results of project investments, PA.CON II contributes to strengthening tourism development and cooperation across the cross-border area. Activities such as this thematic visit also encourage the exchange of experiences and promote destinations on both sides of the border, supporting the development of a more connected and attractive tourism offer.
