The b-solutions 3.0: Solving Border Obstacles to Facilitate Cooperation initiative is promoted by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and managed by the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR).
In line with the Interreg Specific Objective (ISO) 1: A better cooperation governance, b‑solutions aims to analyse legal and administrative obstacles hindering cross-border cooperation and to propose practical solutions to address them.
Who can apply
The open call is addressed to public bodies and cross-border structures located along borders between EU–EU, EU–EFTA, and EU–IPA countries.
Support provided
Selected cases benefit from the legal advice of an expert knowledgeable in the thematic area of the submitted obstacle and familiar with the specific border context. The expert conducts interviews, analyses the legal or administrative hurdles, and provides a report outlining the findings and possible solutions to address the obstacle. The expert is contracted and remunerated directly by AEBR.
How to apply
Interested stakeholders are invited to complete the online application form for new b‑solutions cases. The form is straightforward, based on only four criteria, and can be submitted in any EU language. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
You can also find the social media toolkit, including editable visuals, via this link and you are welcome to use these materials for dissemination purposes.
