As part of the PA.CON II project, the City of Tuzla has successfully completed the procurement and installation of new public-tourism equipment, continuing a cycle of investments aimed at improving citizens’ quality of life and significantly boosting the city’s tourism capacities.

Envisioned in the project application with the goal of developing sustainable and attractive tourism, three key complementary activities were carried out:

  • Installation of 10 modern stainless steel public drinking fountains: Placed at key locations along the defined PA.CON tourism route, these fountains ensure continuous and easy access to clean drinking water for visitors and recreational users in high-traffic public areas and promenades.
  • 3 smart solar benches: Installed at attractive locations, they provide tourists and citizens with modern digital services – free access and mobile device charging powered by renewable energy, thereby modernizing the urban tourism offer and adapting it to contemporary trends.
  • Thematic decorative lighting: Crafted from environmentally friendly, biodegradable materials, this lighting visually enriches public space through flora and fauna motifs, directly promoting the region’s natural heritage and biodiversity as an important asset of the tourism offer.

All three implemented procurements are directly linked to one of the goals of the PA.CON II project – creating recognizable, sustainable, and modernly equipped tourism destinations. By connecting these amenities, visitors are offered an enriched stay that combines natural beauty, environmental awareness, and modern technological solutions.

Through the implementation of these practical and sustainable investments, the City of Tuzla has reaffirmed its commitment to developing “green” tourism, protecting the environment, and creating a more pleasant and content-rich environment for all its citizens and the growing number of tourists.
