As part of the R10D3 project, a cross-border cooperation between Orašje, Vinkovci and Ulcinj aimed at improving waste management infrastructure, partners implemented educational workshops for students from Primary School Orašje, Boško Strugar Primary School in Ulcinj and Ivan Goran Kovačić Primary School in Vinkovci. The date was chosen for Earth Day, April 22, and the workshop was intended for 120 fourth-grade students from these schools, who followed the topic with great interest and in interaction with the lecturers.
The aim of this workshop was to teach children from a young age to have a responsible and conscientious attitude towards their environment. This activity was held in the premises of primary schools where educational classes on waste recycling and the circular economy were held for students. Afterwards, all students had the opportunity to have fun with a game dedicated to environmental protection knowledge and waste recycling, and they learned about the importance of waste generation, reuse and recycling. On this occasion, educational brochures, information leaflets and appropriate games were distributed to encourage the development of environmental awareness.
