The RECIRCLE project has completed a cycle of six events aimed at promoting resource efficiency, circular economy principles and sustainable waste management practices. The latest two workshops were held on 5 and 6 October 2026 in Podgorica, Montenegro, bringing together participants to explore practical solutions for public services and local communities.
The first workshop, “Efficient Use of Resources and Circular Economy in Public Services and Local Communities”, explored opportunities to apply circular economy principles in public services and local settings. The second, “Smart Separate Collection of Waste – From Data and Infrastructure to Active Participation of Citizens”, focused on the importance of reliable data, adequate infrastructure and citizen engagement in improving waste management systems.
Led by Anđela Martinović, PhD, and Mihailo Vujković, MSc, the four-hour workshops combined expert presentations and discussions. Each workshop brought together 15 participants interested in applying sustainable solutions in the public sector and local communities.
By completing this cycle of six events, our RECIRCLE project continues to strengthen knowledge of resource efficiency, encourage improved waste management practices and raise awareness of environmental protection. Through knowledge-sharing and practical approaches, the project supports more responsible resource use and the development of sustainable local communities.
