As part of the REVERS project, Zadar County held two specialized workshops at the Agricultural & Education Centre in Zemunik Donji to enhance the capacity of local stakeholders for sustainable tourism development.
Workshop 1: Developing Tourism Programmes and Products in Sustainable Destinations
Led by Milena Ramov, this workshop introduced methods for creating innovative and sustainable tourism programmes and products. Participants from tourism businesses, public institutions, associations, family farms (OPGs), tour guides and accommodation providers explored ways for involving local communities in product development and integrating environmental and cultural assets of destinations into authentic tourism offerings. Through group work, participants developed concrete concepts for sustainable tourism products tailored to Zadar County.
Green Skills for Developing Tourism Programmes and Products (28 Nov 2025)
Lectured by Pero Ugarković, the second workshop focused on practical green skills and communication techniques for implementing sustainable tourism programmes. Through case studies, good practice examples, and hands-on exercises, participants learned how to apply green standards in everyday operations, improve visitor experiences, and strengthen their professional capacities for sustainable tourism development.
The two workshops provided participants with valuable knowledge, practical tools, and concrete ideas for creating sustainable tourism offerings rooted in local natural and cultural resources. Attendees highlighted the value of the group work and noted that the concepts developed have strong potential to support the long-term sustainable development of tourism in Zadar County.
We invite all interested stakeholders to stay tuned — the third workshop of the REVERS project will be announced soon.
