The SMART-Water project was officially launched, aiming to improve water quality monitoring in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro through the application of cutting-edge data collection technologies, while also raising public awareness about the importance of water conservation as one of the most vital natural resources.
The kick-off conference was held in Podgorica, organized by the Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro, which is one of the project partners. The Croatian delegation was led by Neven Cukrov from the Ruđer Bošković Institute, along with Silvija and Ante Šiljeg from the Center for Geospatial Technologies at the University of Zadar.
The SMART-Water project has been approved for funding under the Interreg VI-A IPA CBC Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021-2027 program. The total value of the project is €1,532,652.51.
The project partners are: Ruđer Bošković Institute (HR), University of Zadar (HR), Hutovo Blato Nature Park (BH), Institute of Hydrometeorology and Seismology (ME), and the Environmental Protection Agency (ME).
