We are proud to announce that EmBRACE SPF project implemented under the Interreg VI-A IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027 has been selected as one of the 30 official “Danube Lighthouses” within the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), Priority Area 8 (PA8). This recognition showcases EmBRACE project as an exemplary initiative contributing to innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable development across the Danube Region.
Lighthouse initiatives directly address this gap:
- They demonstrate how innovative ideas—incremental or disruptive—are applied in practical, replicable ways for citizens, businesses, and innovation ecosystems.
- They serve as reference points and benchmarks that inspire new business models, collaborations, and project development.
These projects represent diverse examples of innovation—regional, national, and transnational—and include both public and private sector initiatives. They all address current challenges and reflect fast-transforming technological and economic landscapes.
The selection of EmBRACE follows our participation in the study “Identification of Lighthouse Projects in the Danube Region and Communication Measures – PA08”, implemented by Steinbeis Europe Zentrum, Pannon Business Network, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, and EUSDR PA8. We extend our sincere thanks to the organisers for their cooperation and valuable work.
