As part of the CROSSMART project, the Municipality of Tuzi has procured and installed three agrometeorological stations, a digital soil scanner (mobile laboratory), and an agricultural drone. This modern equipment represents a significant step towards the development of smart and precision agriculture in the Municipality of Tuzi.

The drone is equipped with a multispectral camera and is intended for precise monitoring of crops and agricultural land. It enables the collection of detailed data on plant health, optimization of fertilization, and more efficient production management.

The digital scanner (mobile laboratory) is a portable device designed for rapid on-site soil analysis. It allows for the measurement of key soil fertility parameters and supports farmers in making accurate decisions related to fertilization and crop management.

As part of the project activities, three new agrometeorological stations have been installed in the Tuzi area, at the locations Vranj, Rogami, and Vuksanljekaj. These stations enable monitoring of a wide range of parameters essential for agricultural production, including leaf moisture and temperature, precipitation levels, air temperature and relative humidity, soil temperature and moisture, as well as wind speed and direction. The system also provides access to short-term weather forecasts.

By introducing this advanced equipment, the Municipality of Tuzi has made a significant step forward in modernizing agriculture in its area, placing modern technologies directly at the service of agricultural producers with the aim of reducing costs, increasing yields, and enabling better decision-making.

The objective of the CROSSMART project is to strengthen the innovation capacities of farmers by providing access to modern technological solutions aimed at quality monitoring and improvement of production processes. A key project contribution will be the establishment of a joint Crossmart platform, which will serve as a foundation for the development of smart agriculture in the cross-border area.

The project is funded through the Interreg IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro Programme and involves six partners: the Entrepreneurship Centre of Dubrovnik–Neretva County (lead partner), the Municipality of Konavle, the Office for European Integration of the Central Bosnia Canton, the Municipality of Tuzi, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture, and the Association for Economic Development REDAH.
